3Fairly Sturdy

I would make this 3.5 stars, but since I cannot I put 3 stars.

We just finished putting this together last week.

PROS:
* All the parts we well labeled
* Very Good instructions
* Maybe an hour to put together

CONS:
* Slats to hold the mattress and your kid) seemed weak. We were not comfortable with the strength (they bent more than our last similar bed) so we just cut and laid a sheet of 1/2" plywood on top of the slats to make it stronger. That seemed to really reinforce the bed area.
* Do not tighten the bolts too far, they will split the wood.
* Would have preferred maple or a hardwood

So far - would buy again. If this lasts a year without breaking, I would make this 4 stars.

5Great quality

We ordered this for our 6 year old daughter. She loves it and has a cozy play space below. Easy to assemble and great quality. Very happy with the purchase. Also, it was a bonus that it was Prime eligible.

3Shorted Hardware

I was worried when I read many reviews about getting incorrect hardware from Canwood, and they were right. I ended up going to the hardware store myself and buying the hardware they shorted me. Obviously this really isn't a "Amazon" problem but seriously you should consider contacting Canwood to rectify this. My out-of-pocket expenses rose, and then the time and frustration (and fuel expense) of having to go to the hardware store. I am happy with Amazon, but quite disappointed in Canwood. They obviously have quality issues.
